Job Description

Major Donor Fundraiser

Home-based Position, 20 hours per week

Salary £35,000 pro rata

Myisrael is looking to recruit a Major Donor Fundraiser to join our team.

Myisrael has raised £7.5 million pounds since it was founded by Danni Franks, CEO, 13 years ago. Since then, it has established itself as a key player in generating socially responsible, impactful philanthropy for Israel.

You will be a key player within our small team, developing and executing our fundraising strategy, taking full responsibility for cultivating and nurturing relationships with existing major donors and identifying and developing relationships with potential new donors. You will focus on the current supporters and their donor journey and help to secure bigger gifts from current donors as well as building new relationships. You will also foster and build connections with charitable trusts.

You will have proven experience and a strong track record of personally securing major donors, networking and face to face fundraising for high level funds. As a fluent English speaker, you will have exceptionally strong and persuasive written and verbal communications skills. You will have an understanding and knowledge of the UK Jewish community.

You will support our CEO, marketing and Israel-based fundraising team in their major donor relationships, and also have the opportunity to be involved in our other funding streams, including legacy and our annual and fundraising campaigns.

You may be required to help recruit new committee members, lay supporters, and trustees where necessary.

A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) is expected.

The organisation

Myisrael is a UK charity supporting under-the-radar causes in Israel. We focus on how to make giving meaningful, both to the donor and the recipient and key to our organisation is the desire to give donors choice on where to direct their donation. We currently support 18 causes across Israel, each supporting a vulnerable population group to improve their lives and help them break negative cycles.  This is an exciting time of growth and change for the charity and the successful candidate will have the opportunity help shape the next chapter in the Myisrael story.

Please send your CV with a short covering email to Hayley at events@myisraelcharity.org.  Closing date Friday 5th February.
